Action against Badals imminent, says Sidhu

Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday hit out at previous Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his child Sukhbir, blaming the Shiromani Akali Dal pioneers for playing governmental issues to captivate the general public, particularly Sikhs.
Mr. Sidhu said Justice (retd) Ranjit Singh Commission in its report has unmistakably brought up laxity on part of Mr. Badal, the then Chief Minister.
"A FIR is as of now enlisted in the Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan police terminating occurrences of 2015, now the name of both the Badals ought to be added to it as blamed," said Mr. Sidhu at a public interview.
"Activity against the Badals is up and coming. Boss Minister Amarinder Singh has himself guaranteed that the liable won't be saved," he said.
The commission, which tested the 2015 police terminating following the Bargari heresy episode, in its report had said the previous Chief Minister was "very mindful" of the circumstance.
The commission was set up by Congress government in April a year ago to examine the episodes of blasphemy of Guru Granth Sahib and different religious writings.
